For Elderly & Children

There are various things that are necessary while commuting with both the aged ones and young ones. Once go through the list of the items in case you’ve forgotten to put pack something:

1) Important testimonials, including your medicine schedule, your doctor’s name with contact number, allergic components list, id proofs, and copies of those documents in case of loss.

2) Money belt, to help them while travelling comfortably during outings.

3) Extra set of glasses in case of breakage or loss.

4) Hearing aids with spare batteries.

5) Comfortable shoes for walking. An extra pair will always help.

While on way to Corbett National Park

Road Journey

1) For a safe & convenient ride try and keep your seat belts fastened all the time. Performing stunts only suits to professionals so, in case if you are not then avoid popping your head or hands outside the vehicle. Serious injuries may occur.

2) Ask your driver to ensure there are toilet stops throughout the route for longer journeys.

3) A bag having some light eatables & drinks (water & soft drinks) will prove beneficial for you for longer journeys as halts in between travelling would delay you from reaching your final destination.

Indian Railways

1) While boarding the trains, we suggest you that you keep all your bags in front than at your back.

2) Indian railways are a bit elevated above the platform, so be careful as you ascent onto the landing.

3) It is advisable to keep all your valuables like wallets, purses, jewelry etc. somewhere safe and approachable (only for you).

4) Before boarding the train get yourself freshen up by visiting the nearby washrooms, as clean washrooms are not necessarily available.

Self-Drive Travel Reminders

  • Make sure you have a reliable GPS system and location maps in the car. Sometimes,     you can’t totally bank upon on GPS so the local location maps come in handy.
  • Carry sufficient water and snacks in the car as some stretches are long and do not have any midway restaurants.
  • Try to reach your destination before sunset as most roads are either surrounded by woods or farms where lights are minimal in the countryside.
  • Always ensure your fuel tank is full. Refill it before it reaches quarter tank as sometimes it may be hard to find a fuel station nearby.

Photography Tips 

1). A usual mistake that we see happening is the packing of your camera. So don’t forget to carry one.

2). An extra pair of batteries & a spare memory cars will always be helpful.

3). Carry a universal power adaptor as the power sockets in India are different than the ones in U.S. or U.K.

4). Keep your camera safe when not it use. Keep it inside a protective bag or case.

5). To capture the best of shots carry a wide angle camera lens to snapshot the beautiful landscape views along with the fascinating wildlife. 

Food & Water

There are a plethora of incredibly delicious cuisines available for food lovers such as amazing curried vegetables, flatbreads, rice & lentils, and chutneys. For Non-vegetarians, fish, chicken, and mutton, is readily available. For dessert lovers, Indian sweets are a delight and may differ from region to region but are generally made of milk, sugar, and wheat. However, we would like you to follow certain guidelines to ensure you remain healthy.

1). Avoid eating unwashed salad or raw salad.

2). Street food is one you’ll find everywhere, but try to eat these kind of things at a hygienic place rather than on  the streets.

3). Carrying Pro-Biotics and Charcoal tablets will be beneficial, as pro-biotics will improve your digestion charcoal tablets will prevent you from water-borne diseases.

4). The amazing aroma of food tempting your taste buds? Ask your guide to take you to a hygienic outlet where you can have the food of your choice.

5) A cuisine without spices (especially chilies) in India is quite rear. So before having any kind of food first make sure that the chilies don’t create a problem for you later.

Shopping & Bargaining 

There is an amazing variety of brilliant handicrafts, textiles, jewelry, furnishings, art, spices and much more, on display in the markets, state emporiums and streets of India. The country produces both traditional and modern goods which are great gifting items and souvenirs. It is recommended to bargain to half the cost as some dwellers may hike up the prices.
