The Do’s and Dont’s you need to be aware and follow when you are at Dhikala zone of Corbett National Park.
Things to Remember
- Carry all your permits with you. Entry without permit is not allowed.
- Visitors are advised to wear clothes of colours which merge with the natural surroundings
(khaki, olive green, other dull colours). - Visitors are required to carry a litter bag while entering the Tiger Reserve and bring back their non-biodegradable litter (tin cans, plastic, metal foils etc.) outside the Reserve.
- Feel free to click pictures from your camera.
- Respect the wild animals.
- The quieter you are, the more the chances of your seeing wildlife.
- Try to keep patience in the forest. In this way you can see, observe and enjoy the most, without disturbing wildlife.
- Help keeping the park clean and green.
- Try and keep a reasonable distance from the wildlife.
Things to avoid while in the National park
- Firearms or any other kinds of weapons are not allowed inside the park.
- Carrying pets along is prohibited. Park is not pet friendly.
- Just sit back n relax the nature. Do not ask to drive by yourself.
- Night is meant for sleeping so no safari after sunset.
- Walking or trekking in the forest is strictly prohibited.
- Cooking or lighting fire at any point inside the park is strictly prohibited.
- Carrying of any kind sharp edged tool is not permitted within the Forest.
- Playing music within the Forest is strictly prohibited.
- Entry into the restricted zone by the visitors is prohibited.
- Shouting, teasing, blowing horns, flashlights or chasing animals or attempts to feed them are prohibited and will invite severe penalties
- Avoid wearing perfumes (strong or mild) as the pungent & unnatural fragrance causes irritation to the wildlife.
- Carrying non-vegetarian food is prohibited as the smell may cause distraction to the wildlife.
- Don’t get off your vehicle at any point in the Forest except where it’s allowed. This is for your own safety and the safety of wildlife.
- Do not be disappointed if you don’t see a tiger. There are many other interesting creatures that are to be seen and cherished.
- The Forest is not a zoo; so don’t expect to see wildlife everywhere. Corbett is breathtaking even in its scenery.
